I saw there bullets at the store the other day and had several questions about them.

1) Anybody ever use this ammo?

2) I am wondering also if Hornady is using a magnesium based tracer.

3) Anybody know if it is detrimental to barrel life (pitting)?

Thanks,

Canuck

Hey Canuck,
Hornady claims on the packaging and used to say on thier website, http://www.hornady.com/ , that the ammo will not hurt the bbl as the lighting element is a small rod of magnesium compound inside the length of the bullet. I've used it many times and wish I could find some more in 9mm and .45acp but no one seems to carry it around here and the place I used to order it from, sportsmansguide.com , doesn't carry it anymore. It might be discontinued.
