This is one of three matching 1911s. Two of them owned by list members. The other is unfinished at the moment. Grips are Hogue presentation Coca Bola

All three are 45s and the 3rd is unspoken for and not in the queque at the moment.

This is an early attempt at a scanned photo so it's not as clear as it should be. The grip panels are S&A D/D Bocote, and they are nice!

This photo is a little better - the panels are S&A D/D Marbled Ebony, hand picked for me by Barbara at S&A...

Mikey...what is Bocote?

...did I spell that correctly? Haven't heard that one before...Is there a chance of another shot of it?

I'll check out S&A to see if they have a shot of it!

Bocote is how you spell it. I now have that Caspian pictured above. I removed the stocks from it and put them on one of my Bilby Bob Kimbers. The Caspian now wears a set of marbled ebony, smooth not checkered, from S&A. Do not have a good picture of the stcks on it, but working on it.
