Is it just me or are there others that are having good luck with the factory finish on their Glocks. I have a Kimber that is parkerized and the finish is rubbing off quickly. Why can't it be as good as a Glock??
Glocks have a Tennifer Finish that is bonded to the Metal , the tennifer actually penetrates the metal a few Thousandths. On top of the tennifer is applied the Parkerizing type coating.
Even if you rub all the parkerizing off a glock the gun will remain rust free with basic maintenance.
The most durable factory finish on any gun, that I have ever seen, is the tenifer on the Glocks. I have posted many stories about their durability on this site, and let it suffice to say that I wish I could get that finish on every gun I have.
