When was my Colt Commander made

Can someone tell me the year my Colt Commander was made.The serial number is
11938-LW. It looks to be pre 70`s series.Thanks in advance.

Thanks for looking but I have an answer already.Thanks again.If you were wondering-it was made in 1951.
