I just returned from GunSite and I spent the week fondling the Kahrs they had on display. I've shot my friend's stock 40 S&W Kahr and was very impressed. The GunSite guns are easily 10x better. They novaks are awesome and the trigger is to die for. It is without a doubt, the best double action pull I've ever experienced.

Check out CAC/Custom Arms Company at http://www.customarms.com. A CAC P9 was the give-away gun in the recent GUNS magazine. Pete Carber does excellent work and is a pleasure to deal with. He recently moved his shop from Penndel,PA to Bensalem, PA. The new phone number is: 215-633-7478.

Besides the others mentioned Teddy Jacobson of Actions by T

and Cylinder & Slide

work on them. Scott, McDougle & Associates

do some work on them, too. I must admit that they are nice as I and a friend were looking at some this weekend and I think I see one in my future.

If I recall correctly Teddy Jacobson claimed he could get the trigger down to about 6 1/4 lbs. One other thing. The Elite 98 versions trigger arc is only 75% of the others.

Teddy Jacobson took the trigger pull on my Kahr P9 down to 6-1/4 lbs. without cutting any springs. Important because P9's have a somewhat weak trigger return as it is.

Teddy also polished the feed ramp, breechface and chamber to a mirror finish.

I have installed AO Big Dot Tritium sights on the Kahr but would be just as happy with Heinie Straight 8's Tritium.

Great gun. Reliable, accurate and very concealable - all day, every day.

Robar metals did an excellent job with my Kahrs. In my opinion, they are the best for Kahrs. I can't vouch for other guns. One does need to realize that whoever you use that is reputable, it will be be a good 4-6 months before you get your gun back. It's only for people with patience and have another carry piece for the time being.
