I'm hoping Kimber does, as I want one, but I can't afford to have it modified for a while. I want this as a carry gun, rather than my Thick HK.

Are there any high cap guns available for less than a $1000 complete?

Also, how expensive would just the caliber conversion be?

Thanks.

Ok this list may not be all inclusive but this is what I have found so far. Les Baer and Nowlin both make guns in 9x23. Colt and Springfield Armory used to but doesn't any longer. As far as I know, Kimber does not. Springfield Armory said they will convert .38 super or 9mm to 9x23 for $150. Dane and many others will do it for quite a bit more, but the work will be much better too. As for double stack guns, I have no idea I have smaller hands, no wise cracks please , so haven't looked at them. HTH

Kimber is in the process of producing a 38 super which could easily be converted. The problem is they will be producing it in a stainless target grade. Estimates I've heard are in the $1,200 range. Any of the Colt 9mm or 38 supers could also be done for 2 to 3 hundred, or get a original Colt or Springfield for about6-8 hundred.
