The Wilson tac brake works great! 4 advantages: 1)It is effective at stabilizing the muzzle, you will be able to shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger on closer targets even with a light gun such as the M4 without sight disturbance. 2)The muzzle is protected from damage to the crown. 3)Good looks. 4)And now the best for last. The brake is a pretty darn good flash suppressor! If you've ever fired a plain barrel carbine at night without flash retarded ammo you know that it's like someone flashed a camera in your face! I've used the Wilson and preban A2 FS on the same night (16" bbl's) and the Wilson wasn't to far behind the A2. On other nights I've used various other brakes and a Phantom FS. None of the other brakes suppress flash as well as the A2 lookalikes (Wilson, various brands) and some seem much louder as well. Some other brakes have visable flash on a sunny day. The Wilson using flash retarded powder is my choice over a true FS on a preban! It even comes with an ATF approval letter for postban owners.
