Anyone have experience with the Wilson Combat .45 jhp ammunition? It uses the Hornady 200 grain bullet. I was wondering how it compares to Hornady's own loading.
Thank you.
While I have not used the Wilson loadings directly I can summize that it should be pretty good as the XTP is a really good bullet.
In all seriousness it would be pretty hard to mess up a loading at even standard velocity that would minimize this loads effectiveness.
I have fired a good bit of Wilson's 200XTP load. It is a good choice for carry. Loaded with Vitavhouri powder, very low flash, all I have seen was loaded in Winchester cases. Velocity is 1,000 to 1,080, depending on gun. Powder is very fast, my Commander gave same velocity as 5" guns. Very accurate load. Comes in fifty round plastic boxes.
